The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission is actively monitoring prices and standards in local markets across Nigeria, exemplified by their recent visit to Masaka market in Nasarawa State and inspection of two 4U Supermarket outlets in Wuse 2, Abuja.

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission continues its efforts to monitor prices in local markets, with a recent visit to the Masaka market in Nasarawa State showcasing its commitment. This visit is part of the Commission's wider initiative to ensure that sellers of consumable goods adhere to standards concerning pricing, quantity, and quality across the country. One of their recent activities involved inspecting two 4U Supermarket outlets in Wuse 2, Abuja, as reported.

During their inspection in Wuse 2, Abuja, the FCCPC took action against violations of regulations, including seizing 94 bags of expired goods and shutting down the 4U Supermarket branch located at 58 Adetokunbo Ademola Street. This proactive measure aims to uphold standards and protect consumers from purchasing substandard or potentially harmful products. By taking decisive steps to enforce compliance in various markets and outlets, the Commission is working to create a fair and transparent trading environment across Nigeria. This demonstrates their dedication to safeguarding consumer interests and promoting fair competition in the marketplace.
