CONTROVERSY SURROUNDS IYABO OJO AND TONY DIKEH'S GESTURE IN THE FIGHT FOR JUSTICE FOR MOHBAD

Controversy has arisen in the wake of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo's involvement in the campaign for justice for the late singer Mohbad.

Notable Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has taken a prominent role in the campaign for justice for the late singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Alongside her colleagues, such as Tonto Dikeh, they have been actively advocating for justice and rallying support for the cause. Through audios and videos, they have managed to garner a significant following of fans who are also seeking justice for the late singer.

However, when Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh decided to publicly share a video of themselves shopping for a luxury casket, presumably for a "befitting burial" for Mohbad, many people questioned their motives behind the gesture. Some felt that it was an act that went beyond the noble cause of seeking justice and instead seemed like a ploy for personal gain or attention.

The public reaction to the video was mixed, with some expressing disgust and disappointment. Uncle Ray, a Twitter user, voiced his frustration, questioning the intentions of the actresses and their age appropriateness for such actions. Others, like Nwokeoma Osiso, accused them of clout-chasing, suggesting that their actions were more about seeking popularity than genuinely caring for Mohbad's well-being.

The criticism continued to pour in from various individuals on social media platforms. Punky expressed disbelief at the idea of recording oneself shopping for a casket as if it were a birthday gift for a 27-year-old. Olakunle, on the other hand, claimed that Iyabo Ojo's involvement was solely for the purpose of gaining popularity, deeming the video shopping for caskets as a shameful act. Osun eku iroju shared similar sentiments, stating that the actresses were more interested in clout-chasing than genuinely caring about Mohbad's situation. He emphasized that in all his years, he had never seen anyone make a video while shopping for a casket.

Amidst the backlash, it is important to note that the chief suspect in the alleged murder of Mohbad, Sam Larry, is currently in police custody. The public eagerly awaits the results of the autopsy and the subsequent investigation report, hoping for justice to be served.
