U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to deliver an address during the three-day conference's opening day. On Saturday, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are also slated to speak. Notably, Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Foreign Minister Israel Katz will be in attendance, alongside senior representatives from the Palestinian Authority, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, and Jordan.

An important topic expected to be discussed on the sidelines is the aftermath of the November 5 elections in the United States and the potential implications if former U.S. President Donald Trump is re-elected. Trump's influence is anticipated to cast a significant shadow over the security conference following recent comments that raised doubts about U.S. security commitments. At a campaign rally, Trump expressed his willingness to "encourage" Russia to act as they see fit towards NATO countries that are not meeting defense spending targets.
