FORMER TARABA STATE GOVERNOR REFLECTS ON INCARCERATION AND FUTURE LEADERSHIP AT THANKSGIVING SERVICE

Former Taraba State Governor, Rev. Jolly Tavoro Nyame, recently spoke at a Thanksgiving service held at ''CAN" secretariat in Jalingo, where he shared insights gained during his time in the Kuje correctional centre.

Former Taraba State Governor, Rev. Jolly Tavoro Nyame, shared insights gained during his time in the Kuje correctional centre at a Thanksgiving service held at the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) secretariat in Jalingo. Nyame expressed his determination to emerge as a more capable leader if given the opportunity to govern the state again, emphasizing the invaluable lessons he learned during his incarceration that have shaped him into a better potential leader for the people of Taraba State.

 

During the service, Nyame stated, “I learned a lot while in Kuje Prison and in the hospital. If given another opportunity to lead the people of Taraba State, I will do better because of the experience I have gained.” He highlighted the significance of faith and resilience, advising leaders to stand strong in the face of challenges. Nyame, who served only four years of a 14-year sentence, asserted that his imprisonment was politically motivated.

 

In addition to sharing personal reflections, Nyame delivered a message of hope and unity for Nigerians, emphasizing the importance of prayer and faith in the nation’s future. He also called on the government to prioritize policies that enhance citizens’ lives, urging Nigerians to be prudent in their expenses.
