Governor Hope Uzodimma's Commitment to Peace in Imo State

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has reaffirmed his dedication to fostering peace within Imo State and Nigeria as a whole.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, expressed his dedication to fostering peace within Imo State and across Nigeria during a meeting with journalists in Owerri, as conveyed by his Chief Press Secretary, Oguwike Nwachukwu.

 

The governor's commitment to peace came to light after his discussion with the Ihube Peace Committee from Okigwe council area of Imo State, led by the Emeritus Prelate of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Most Reverend Dr. Sunday Uche.

 

In a statement, Governor Uzodimma acknowledged the setbacks caused by insecurity in Ihube area and pledged continuous collaboration with local leaders and stakeholders to achieve lasting peace and harmony in the region.

 

He expressed gratitude to the Ihube Peace Committee, led by Most Rev Dr. Sunday Uche, for their visit and their interest in the government's efforts to establish peace and harmony in their locality.

 

Reverend Uche, in his remarks, affirmed the committee's commitment, alongside other concerned citizens, to promote peace across Imo State and Nigeria, recognizing its vital role in fostering sustainable development. He commended Governor Uzodimma for his leadership and urged him to continue working with leaders and stakeholders to ensure peace prevails within and beyond Imo State.
