DISTRICT HEAD OF MALUMFASHI ENCOURAGES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT THROUGH MADA

At a courtesy visit to the District Head of Malumfashi in Katsina State, Justice Sadiq Mahuta (retd.), the pro tem executive members of the newly formed Malumfashi Development Association emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in community development.

The District Head of Malumfashi in Katsina State, Justice Sadiq Mahuta (retd.), has urged Nigerians to collaborate with their leaders in developing their communities. He made this call during a courtesy visit by the pro tem executive members of the newly formed Malumfashi Development Association (MADA) led by its chairman, Salisu Bawa, at his palace in Malumfashi.

 

Emphasizing the need for selfless service to enhance economic growth and development, especially at the grassroots, the traditional ruler stressed that the responsibility for developing Malumfashi town should not rest solely on the government. He highlighted the potential contributions of individuals living within and outside the state to the socio-economic development of the town.

 

The Galadima of Katsina encouraged MADA officials to remain focused on achieving their set objectives and to promote peace for the development of the local government area. He expressed his belief that community development involves improving the lives of the people through community-oriented programs and commended the association's executive members for their commitment to the town's development.

 

Salisu Bawa, the interim chairman of MADA, explained to the monarch the purpose of the association's formation and its objectives. He informed the traditional ruler that the association's membership includes civil servants in active service, retired civil servants, businessmen, and women, among others. Additionally, the association presented a list of officials, the constitution, and the three-year Action Plan to the District Head and the council chairman during the courtesy visits for their review.
