BREAKING NEWS: BENUE STATE GETS VACCINE TO VACCINATE 5000 LIVESTOCK

The President of Tito Group a generous philanthropist in move to safeguarding livestock in Benue state has generously contributed Anthrax vaccines to the state to vaccinate 5000 livestock animals.

Isaac Akinkunmi, the President of Tito Group and a dedicated philanthropist, has taken a proactive step towards safeguarding livestock in Benue State. Recognizing the significance of livestock health, he generously contributed Anthrax vaccines to the Benue State Government. This generous donation is aimed at vaccinating a substantial number of 5,000 livestock animals within the state.

Over the weekend, Akinkunmi, accompanied by his management team, orchestrated the delivery of the Anthrax vaccine to the State Task Force on Anthrax Prevention and Control. This task force, led by Dr. Edward Amali, Director of Livestock Services in the Benue State Ministry of Agriculture, is diligently focused on combating the risks associated with Anthrax.

The formal handover of the donation took place at the Ministry of Agriculture Headquarters situated in Makurdi. During the event, Akinkunmi took the opportunity to emphasize the pivotal role that his company, Tito Group, plays in the milk processing and yoghurt production sector. He highlighted the decision of the company to establish a ranch, aligning with the concept of backward integration. This strategic move was aimed at promoting local milk production, thereby reducing the dependence on milk imports.

As part of their ranching approach, Tito Group maintains a considerable number of cattle on their ranch. This decision stems from their recognition of the benefits of ranching as an effective method of livestock management. Notably, the company has experienced substantial rewards from this approach.

Drawing attention to the recent appearance of Anthrax in the country, Akinkunmi shared the company's experience and response. Fearing the potential devastation that Anthrax could cause if left unchecked, they promptly took action. They engaged with the Veterinary Research Institute in Vom, procured the necessary Anthrax vaccine, and efficiently vaccinated their own cattle. In a remarkable show of goodwill, they extended this vital vaccination initiative to the communities in their immediate vicinity.

In this noteworthy gesture, Isaac Akinkunmi and Tito Group have demonstrated their commitment to both livestock health and the well-being of the communities they serve. Their proactive approach and willingness to extend their assistance to others stand as a commendable example of responsible corporate citizenship and philanthropy.
