Nigeria's U-17 women's football team, the Flamingos, have been drawn into Group A of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2024, aiming to make history as the first African team to win the tournament.

The Nigerian Flamingos have been placed in Group A of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup 2024, alongside hosts Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand. This marks their eighth qualification for the tournament, following an impressive qualifying campaign where they defeated the Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, and Liberia.

 

The Flamingos will be seeking to build on their third-place finish in the 2022 competition and make history by becoming the first African team to win the title.
