The Boston Celtics have secured their 18th NBA championship title, defeating the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

The Boston Celtics secured their 18th NBA championship title, defeating the Dallas Mavericks 106-88 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 31 points, while Jaylen Brown added 21 points and was named Finals MVP. The Celtics dominated the game, leading by double digits from the second quarter onwards.

Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving struggled for the Mavericks, with Doncic scoring 28 points and Irving managing just 15 points while being booed by Celtics fans. Despite the loss, Irving remained positive, highlighting the team's young core and potential for growth.

The Celtics' defense was key to their victory, restricting the Mavericks' stars and allowing Boston's offense to thrive. Tatum and Brown were unstoppable, with Payton Pritchard's buzzer-beating three-pointer at the end of the second quarter sealing a 21-point lead for the Celtics.

Boston maintained their control in the second half, with Jrue Holiday and Derrick White contributing to the team's scoring effort. The Celtics' win marked their first NBA title since 2008 and cemented their place in history as one of the greatest teams in NBA history.
