The 'one youth, two skills' program initiated by the Anambra State government has empowered over 5,000 youths from all 21 local government areas of the state. Governor Chukwuma Soludo released N2 billion as start-up capital for the beneficiaries after their training. This group constitutes the first batch of beneficiaries who have received their cheques in Awka.

Hon. Chuks Azotani, the chairman of the committee on Information Technology and Creative Economy in the Anambra State House of Assembly, commended Governor Soludo for initiating this life-changing program. He emphasized that it would not only curb unemployment and restiveness among the youths but also play a pivotal role in building young entrepreneurs who can become self-sufficient and employers of labor.

Azotani urged the beneficiaries to efficiently invest their start-up capital in their trained skills and businesses to achieve the objectives of the scheme. He highlighted the positive economic impacts that the program, facilitated by the State Ministry of Youth Development, would have in the areas of Information, Communication, and Technology.

The lawmaker expressed his happiness that about 100 beneficiaries from the first batch of the program came from Dunukofia local government area, assuring the youths from the area that more positive developments would come their way. He also encouraged Nigerian youths in general to engage in meaningful ventures, particularly in the field of ICT.

Azotani called on the people of Anambra State to unite and support the state government's efforts in transforming the state into a more prosperous and livable place. He emphasized that the Soludo administration has more programs aimed at creating platforms for socio-economic development in the state.
