Alhaji Ilyasu Musa Kwankwaso, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has urged patriotic stakeholders in the North to disregard critics of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and instead support his efforts to lead the country towards progress. Kwankwaso emphasized the necessity of this support, noting that President Tinubu had provided maximum assistance to former President Muhammadu Buhari throughout his eight-year tenure.

In an interview, Kwankwaso condemned the recent protests against the Minister of State for Defense, Dr. Bello Matawalle, labeling the development as negative tactics aimed at President Tinubu, the National Chairman of the ruling APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, and other prominent politicians within the party. He expressed concern that those who resort to social media to hurl insults at the president are doing a disservice to the nation and misguiding the public.

Kwankwaso, a former three-time commissioner for rural and community development in Kano state, urged the elders in the North to remain focused and collaborate with the governors of the region to deliver the dividends of democracy. He affirmed President Tinubu's commitment to supporting them in this endeavor, highlighting his achievements within the first year of his tenure despite facing unwarranted criticism.

Reflecting on past agreements that led to the formation of the APC, Kwankwaso stressed that President Buhari's emergence was part of a collective understanding. He asserted that President Tinubu fulfilled his obligations under these agreements and accused dissenting voices of attempting to undermine him through alternative means.

Kwankwaso underscored President Tinubu's efforts in addressing insecurity in the region, citing improvements such as enhanced safety along the Abuja-Kaduna route. He urged stakeholders to advocate for critical infrastructure projects, emphasizing President Tinubu's readiness to support the North's development initiatives.
