In an interview posted on social media, two-time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, 64, announced that he would "no longer be speechless." This comes after being cleared of sexual assault charges in trials conducted in the United States and Britain. The interview was conducted by UK journalist Dan Wootton, ahead of the airing of a two-part documentary titled "Spacey Unmasked" in the UK on Monday and Tuesday.

The documentary features allegations from 10 men not involved in the UK court case against Spacey, accusing him of inappropriate behavior. These incidents reportedly occurred between 1976 and 2013 and involve what the men describe as unwanted sexual behavior. Spacey revealed in the interview that he received an email from the documentary-makers detailing these allegations.

One of the alleged victims, former actor Ruari Cannon, shared his claims in Britain's i newspaper, accusing Spacey of inappropriate touching in 2013 when Cannon was 21 years old. However, Spacey denied any illegal wrongdoing during the interview, stating that while he takes responsibility for his past behavior, he refuses to apologize to those who have fabricated or exaggerated stories about him.

Spacey elaborated that while he had relationships with some men who hoped to advance their careers, there was never any conversation or agreement regarding sexual favors in exchange for career opportunities. The interview was conducted by Wootton, who previously worked for TV channel GB News but now broadcasts online.

Kevin Spacey's career has been significantly impacted by the sexual assault allegations that emerged in 2017 as part of the #MeToo movement. Despite being acquitted of nine alleged sex offenses by a UK jury last year and having a $40 million civil sexual misconduct lawsuit against him dismissed by a New York court in 2022, Spacey expressed difficulty in securing work after the legal proceedings ended. He described this experience as a "life sentence."
