Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has announced that Wednesday, October 4th, will be observed as a public holiday to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The declaration was made by the state's Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Baba Dantiye, in a statement released on Wednesday in Kano.

In the statement, Commissioner Dantiye conveyed the governor's message, urging the people to utilize the occasion to reflect upon the teachings of the noble Prophet and incorporate them into their daily lives.
