Governor Abba Yusuf Declares Public Holiday in Kano State to Commemorate Birth of Prophet Muhammad

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has announced that Wednesday, October 4th, will be observed as a public holiday to commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The declaration was made by the state's Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Malam Baba Dantiye, in a statement released on Wednesday in Kano.

 

In the statement, Commissioner Dantiye conveyed the governor's message, urging the people to utilize the occasion to reflect upon the teachings of the noble Prophet and incorporate them into their daily lives. The governor emphasized the importance of imbibing the values and principles taught by Prophet Muhammad, which promote peace, unity, and compassion.

 

Governor Abba Yusuf also called upon the people to offer fervent prayers for peace and prosperity to prevail not only in Kano State but also across Nigeria. He expressed his hope that Allah would guide the state through the challenging times and bless them with a bountiful harvest during the ongoing rainy season and the upcoming dry farming season.
