Former Nigerian international, Austine ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha, has expressed admiration for Victor Boniface's outstanding performance at Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen. The 22-year-old forward recently joined the German club from Belgian Pro League side, Union St Gilloise, and has made an impressive impact by scoring six goals in just five league appearances.

Boniface's remarkable form earned him the title of Bundesliga's best player in August, as well as the Rookie of the Month award. Okocha, delighted by Boniface's potential, praised him as an exceptional player who demonstrates that Nigeria possesses abundant talent.

Okocha stated, "He's been amazing. It's always great to see one of our own doing well. He gives us hope and shows that we are not lacking in talent. We [Nigeria] just need to get our act together!"
