EFCC Arrests Cross-Dresser Bobrisky Over Naira Misuse and Currency Offenses

The EFCC has arrested cross-dresser Bobrisky, accusing him of naira misuse, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation. He is currently detained at the EFCC's Lagos Command, and is expected to face legal charges.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended and detained the well-known cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, who goes by the stage name Bobrisky, on allegations of naira misuse, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation.

 

Bobrisky, who has been embroiled in numerous controversies in recent weeks, was arrested in Lagos on a Wednesday night and is currently being held at the EFCC's Lagos Command. The development was confirmed by the commission's spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, in an interview on Thursday.

Oyewale stated, "Bobrisky is in our custody. He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is currently at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of naira notes, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation, among other offenses.

 

"We are extremely committed to restoring the dignity of the naira. Although our investigation is still ongoing, he will definitely be charged to court soon."
