Aseyin of Iseyin Mediates Peace in KWAM 1 Drummer Dispute

The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Adeyeri III, played a pivotal role on Monday in mediating a dispute between King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM 1) and his estranged lead drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo.

The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Adeyeri III, took steps on Monday to mediate in the ongoing dispute between King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, commonly known as KWAM 1, and his estranged lead drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo. He urged both parties to set aside their differences and pursue reconciliation in an amicable manner.

The conflict arose when Ayankunle accused the fuji musician of providing inadequate welfare benefits for his band members, an allegation KWAM 1 refuted. Addressing journalists at his palace in Iseyin, located in the Iseyin Local Government Area of Oyo State, the monarch emphasized the strong ties that both Wasiu Ayinde and Ayankunle Ayanlowo have with the community.

As one being an in-law and the other a son of Ado-Awaye, a community within the monarch's jurisdiction, Oba Sefiu Adeyeri III felt compelled to intervene and seek a peaceful resolution. He urged both parties to refrain from escalating the situation further and to prioritize peace.

In his efforts to facilitate reconciliation, the monarch instructed Ayankunle to refrain from posting confrontational videos or engaging in interviews that could exacerbate the tension. Additionally, he expressed his intention to reach out to KWAM 1 directly to encourage dialogue and foster a peaceful resolution.

Ayankunle, the former lead drummer, confirmed that he would abide by the monarch's directives, agreeing not to publish any more contentious content on social media or participate in confrontational interviews. He expressed gratitude to those who had supported him throughout the ordeal and prayed for their continued well-being and prosperity.
