The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has embarked on a significant humanitarian effort in Lagos State, initiating the distribution of 80,000 10kg bags of rice to vulnerable individuals.

The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has commenced the distribution of 80,000 10kg bags of rice to vulnerable individuals in Lagos State. Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group and Chairman of the foundation, highlighted that this distribution is part of a larger initiative aimed at providing over one million 10kg bags of rice to vulnerable populations across the 774 local government areas of Nigeria.

Addressing the flag-off ceremony held in Alausa, Dangote emphasized that this gesture underscores the foundation's commitment to upholding values of compassion and solidarity that are fundamental to humanity. He noted that the distribution of rice supplements the foundation's ongoing daily distribution of 12,500 loaves of bread in Lagos, further illustrating its dedication to easing the burdens faced by vulnerable communities in the state.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State commended Dangote's numerous initiatives aimed at alleviating the hardships experienced by Nigerians. He praised Dangote for demonstrating compassion towards the less fortunate members of society. Sanwo-Olu remarked that the distribution of 80,000 bags of 10kg rice exemplifies the foundation's prioritization of the welfare of the people over profit-seeking and wealth accumulation endeavors.
