Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Lagos State during the 2023 elections, has called for a thorough investigation into the sudden death of Afrobeats singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Adediran expressed concern over the circumstances surrounding the singer's death and the subsequent public outcry, stating that it has negatively impacted the image of the country's music industry. He urged law enforcement agencies to uncover the truth and ensure justice is served.

In a statement issued by the Head of Media and Communications for JANDOR4GOVERNOR Campaign Organization, Gbenga Ogunleye, Adediran highlighted the secrecy and alleged foul play surrounding the announcement of Mohbad's death. There have been widespread allegations of complicity involving key players in the music industry. Adediran emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the matter to address the anxieties among music fans and prevent any injustice.

Jandor expressed his condolences to the family and fans of the late Mohbad, acknowledging the irreparable loss they have suffered. The Lagos State Police Command has already set up a 13-man panel to investigate the cause of the singer's death, and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has invited the Department of State Services to join in the probe. Sanwo-Olu vowed that anyone found responsible would face the consequences of the law. The state government has been closely following the ongoing investigations.

The State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, assured that all individuals connected to the case would be identified and held accountable for their involvement in Mohbad's death. The tragic incident has raised concerns about the state of the entertainment industry and the need for transparency and accountability within it.
