Throughout his illustrious career spanning several decades, Kabaka showcased his exceptional talent as a songwriter and guitarist, captivating audiences with his distinctive Highlife style. In 1973, he co-founded The Oriental Brothers International Band, a musical powerhouse celebrated for its socially conscious lyrics and authentic sound that resonated with millions across Africa and beyond.

Venturing into a solo career in 1976, Kabaka established The Kabaka International Guitar Band, where he continued to produce high-quality Highlife music. Over the years, he released fourteen albums, including the acclaimed 'Mangala Special', showcasing his musical prowess and creativity.

In addition to his contributions to traditional Highlife, Kabaka explored Ezebongo rhythms, demonstrating his versatility and ingenuity as an artist. His collaborations with The Imo City Band further solidified his status as a legend in the Highlife genre, earning him widespread acclaim and admiration.

Kabaka's legacy endured with his triumphant return in September 2023, marked by the release of 'The Return of Kabaka'. The album garnered over a million streams and secured a place among the top 100 albums worldwide, reaffirming his enduring influence and significance in the realm of music.
