The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) announced on Monday the commencement of the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for its Governorship Primary Election in Ondo state. The sale of these forms is scheduled to begin on April 3 and conclude on April 10.

According to the party, the Governorship Primary Election in Ondo state will take place on April 25, with the primary election appeal scheduled for April 26.

In a statement issued on its official handle by Sulaiman Argungun, the National Organizing Secretary of the APC, the party emphasized that its decision aligns with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2022, as amended, and relevant sections of the Constitution.

Argungun stated, “In compliance with the relevant sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Electoral Act 2022, the APC hereby makes public its timetable and schedule of activities leading to the 16th November, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo state as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.”

Furthermore, the APC outlined the financial requirements for the forms, setting the expression of interest form at N10 million, while the nomination form is priced at N40 million.

In adherence to established practice, female aspirants and individuals with disabilities are only required to purchase the expression of interest form, as the nomination form is exempt from fees for these groups.
