Advancing Collaboration and Innovation in the Energy Sector: Insights from Industry Leaders

In a discussion centered around the theme "Innovation, Collaboration, and Resilience: Empowering Independent Producers in the Dynamic Energy Era," Eyesan delved into the challenges and opportunities faced by the energy sector.

Eyesan addressed the theme "Innovation, Collaboration, and Resilience: Empowering Independent Producers in the Dynamic Energy Era" by reflecting on past experiences with divestment in the energy sector. She expressed disappointment, stating that many assets acquired through divestment witnessed a decline in production rather than growth. Despite some success stories among independent producers, she highlighted challenges such as insecurity, financial constraints, and technological limitations.

Acknowledging the importance of collaboration in overcoming industry challenges, Eyesan stressed the need for collective action. She advocated for a proactive approach, suggesting the establishment of a "war room" where stakeholders could address issues and develop concrete plans for resolution. Emphasizing collaboration as a key driver for progress, she urged industry players to work together to tackle common obstacles.

The panel session featured prominent figures in the sector, including Adegbite Falade, CEO of Aradel Holdings; Elohor Aiboni, Managing Director of SNEPCo; Demola Adeyemi-Bero, Managing Director of First E & P Development Company; and Matthieu Bouyer, CEO of TotalEnergies. Also present were Shane Harris, CEO of ExxonMobil Nigeria; Ainojie Alex Irune, COO of Oando Energy Resources; and Cosmas Iwueze, Director of Joint Venture at Chevron Nigeria.
