The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, expressed confidence in his political camp's readiness for the 2027 elections, citing alliances formed as a significant advantage. Speaking at a thanksgiving service hosted by Senator Barinada Mpigi in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State, Wike emphasized the strength of his camp, stating, "With the forces we have, I don’t know of anybody who can challenge us." He portrayed the upcoming elections as a near event, highlighting the unity within his party and the uncommon coexistence of leading and opposition parties in the state.

Wike also advocated for support of President Bola Tinubu's economic reform policies, acknowledging the challenges in swiftly transforming the nation's fortunes. He urged patience, stating, "God in His infinite mercies will continue to give us the strength to work together to support Mr. President."
