Uttar Pradesh is making massive progress in infrastructure development as per the latest budget (2024-25), the government has allotted funds for important projects such as the state directed Rs 2057 crore towards the Ganga Expressway, Rs 100 crore was allotted for Ayodhya's overall development, Rs 150 crore for the expansion of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, and Rs 1750 crore for road development to various religious sites all across the state.
Let's look at some of the latest infrastructural developments attained in recent years
Transportation
The state is making new expressways, including the Ganga Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, and Lucknow-Kanpur Link Expressway. Along with this, the Delhi Varanasi High-Speed Rail Bullet Train Project is also underway.
Airports
Under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath Ji, Uttar Pradesh has become the first state in the country with the maximum number of airports. The state is constructing new airports, including the Noida Airport and Ayodhya International Airport.
Power
The power generation in the state has increased manifolds since the BJP came to power and has contributed immensely to Uttar Pradesh infrastructure development. If we talk precisely about the state's power generation capacity has increased from 5,600 megawatts in 2016-17 to 8,688 megawatts. UP is also developing solar energy projects, including Ayodhya and Kashi as Solar Cities.
Rural development
The state is working to improve access to electricity, water supply, and sanitation in rural areas. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) provides affordable housing to citizens in rural areas.
UP’s contribution to making India a 50 trillion dollar economy
On the occasion of the inauguration of the International Trade Show-2024 at India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that all the barriers to development are now ending in UP.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi, along with the campaign to make India's economy 50 trillion dollars, the state is rapidly moving towards making UP a 10 trillion dollar economy.
At the inauguration ceremony of the International Trade Show-2024, the CM said that this is the same UP, which was considered a barrier to the country's development 7 years ago but today it is being recognised as the engine of development.
Currently, 11 airports are operational in the state and soon 10 airports will be ready among other infrastructure development in UP. Uttar Pradesh is playing a leading role in realising the Prime Minister's self-reliant India. People travelling by road and rail are getting the best facilities.
It is also likely that the Ganga Expressway connecting the east to the west will be operational before the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh 2025. Before 2017, there were only a few units in the state. But now UP is the first state where 96 thousand units are of MSME. During this, Yogi especially met the delegation of Vietnam, the partner country of the event.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar praised CM Yogi and said that the country's largest state is flourishing under his dynamic rule. Adityanath is a game changer for this state and this is helping the country a lot.
