The management of Bayero University in Kano State has refuted claims of a security breach within the university. In a statement released by the university's Deputy Registrar of Public Affairs, Lamara Garba, it was emphasized that there is no truth to the report of a security breach. The statement, addressed the alleged security concerns on Tuesday.

The university's statement categorically dismissed the notion of any kidnapping incidents within its campuses. It asserted that the university has long been proactive in implementing necessary measures to ensure the safety of both staff and students. The management expressed deep concern over the fabrication of false news, recognizing the potential for such misinformation to incite panic not only within the university but also in the wider Kano environment and beyond.

Consequently, the university's management appealed to the public to disregard the purported alarm regarding any threat to security at Bayero University.
