REFEREE AMIN MOHAMED OMAR TO OFFICIATE CAF AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS OPENER

Egypt’s Amin Mohamed Omar, a 39-year-old referee, has been selected to officiate the match between the host country, Côte d’Ivoire, and Guinea Bissau, marking the commencement of the 34th edition of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations TotalEnergies, Côte d’Ivoire 2023.

Egypt’s Amin Mohamed Omar, a 39-year-old referee, has been selected to officiate the match between the host country, Côte d’Ivoire, and Guinea Bissau, marking the commencement of the 34th edition of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations TotalEnergies, Côte d’Ivoire 2023. Amin Mohamed Omar brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously officiated at the FIFA™ U-17 World Cup in Brazil in 2019.

 

Assisting Amin Mohamed Omar in his refereeing duties will be his compatriots Mahmoud Ahmed Kamel and Ahmed Hossam Taha. Additionally, Mahmoud Elbana has been appointed as the VAR referee for the match. The highly anticipated game between Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea Bissau is set to commence at 20:00 GMT at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé.
