The Rivers State Police Command has announced the commencement of the screening exercise for applicants interested in joining the force. The spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, revealed that the screening program will take place at the Alfred Diete-Spiff Civic Centre on Moscow Road in Port Harcourt from January 8 to January 29. She emphasized that the screening is specifically for indigenes of Rivers State who have applied for the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).

Applicants are required to bring necessary documents for the physical and credential screening exercise at the designated venue. These documents include evidence of physical and mental fitness from a government-recognized medical facility, evidence of good character from each village or district head of the applicants, original and duplicate copies of their certificate of origin, national identity card or slip, birth certificate or declaration of age, printout of their application form, completed guarantor’s form, invitation slip, recent passport photographs, and two white flat files. Additionally, candidates are advised to wear clean white T-shirts and shorts for the exercise.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu, has assured that all statutory entry requirements as clearly stated in the Police Acts and Regulations will be strictly adhered to. He also urged the shortlisted applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly manner to ensure a smooth and successful screening process. Furthermore, the police spokesperson emphasized that the screening is free of charge.
