FATAL ROAD ACCIDENT CLAIMS TWO LIVES AND INJURES EIGHT OTHERS ON IDIROKO-OTA ROAD

Two individuals have tragically lost their lives, while eight others have sustained injuries in a recent road accident along the Idiroko-Ota road.

Two individuals have tragically lost their lives, while eight others have sustained injuries in a recent road accident along the Idiroko-Ota road. The Federal Road Safety Corps reported that the incident occurred at approximately 8pm on Sunday and involved a total of 10 individuals, comprising five male adults, four female adults, and one female child.

 

The FRSC disclosed on Monday that the crash resulted in the loss of two lives, both male adults, and left eight individuals injured, including four female adults, three male adults, and one female child. According to Florence Oko, the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, the collision involved a Man Diesel truck with the license plate LSR10YD and a Toyota Carina without a license plate.

 

The suspected cause of the accident was attributed to wrongful overtaking, which led to a head-on collision. The injured victims were promptly transported to the General Hospital in Idiroko for medical treatment, while the deceased were claimed by their families.

 

CC Anthony Uga, the Sector Commander of the FRSC Ogun Sector Command, emphasized the importance of maintaining a clear vision of 150 to 200 meters at night and exercising controlled speed when overtaking, in order to prevent similar incidents in the future.
