On Thursday, the acting Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, made a public call for unity and cooperation from the people of the state and all stakeholders in order to advance the vision of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and propel the state forward. This call came as Akeredolu informed the state House of Assembly of his return to Germany for further medical treatment, prompting Aiyedatiwa to step in as acting governor once again.

Aiyedatiwa acknowledged the recent political crisis in the state, emphasizing the need to leave the past behind and work together to realize the governor's developmental goals. He urged genuine support, cooperation, and dedication from all members of the Ondo State Government, emphasizing the importance of unity in achieving the accelerated development envisioned by the governor.

The acting governor highlighted the adverse impact of the political crisis on the state's progress and its people, stressing the necessity for all stakeholders to come together and focus on serving the people. He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, and other stakeholders for their intervention in resolving the crisis.

Aiyedatiwa emphasized the imperative of returning to the path of accelerated progress and unity, stating that the welfare and security of the people should be the primary objective of the government. He called for a renewed commitment to advancing the state's welfare and security, as outlined in the Nigerian Constitution.
