Dr. Musa Aliyu assumed the position of the fifth substantive Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission following his swearing-in ceremony by President Bola Tinubu. The PUNCH reported that the new ICPC boss acknowledged the weight of the responsibilities ahead of him, expressing confidence in achieving success with the support of the team.

Upon his arrival at the anti-graft commission’s headquarters, Dr. Aliyu addressed the management staff and conveyed his appreciation to President Tinubu for entrusting him with this pivotal role. He stated, “Though the task ahead of me may be challenging, with the support of the management and the entire staff of ICPC, a lot of successes will be recorded under my watch. I am ready to work with you as a team, and I am also promising you that I will lead by example.”

Dr. Aliyu outlined his leadership approach, pledging to be a humble and approachable leader who prioritizes collaboration and consultation. He emphasized that unity and collective effort are crucial ingredients for success, stating, “I know for a fact that leadership is a burden, but once we are united, there is no amount of challenge that we will not surmount.”
