REMEMBERING Henry KISSINGER: A GIANT IN US FOREIGN POLICY

The passing of Henry Kissinger, a towering figure in US foreign policy, has left a profound impact on the nation.

Former President George W. Bush expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Henry Kissinger, describing him as one of the most reliable and distinctive voices on foreign affairs in the United States. Bush emphasized that Kissinger's journey from being a German refugee to becoming a key figure in US foreign policy reflected not only his greatness but also the greatness of America.

Henry Kissinger, the former US secretary of state known for his unapologetic advocacy of American power, passed away at the age of 100, as reported by AFP. His influence played a significant role in shaping the post-World War II world. Kissinger's family announced that a private funeral would be held, with a memorial service to follow in New York, the city where Kissinger grew up after his Jewish family fled Nazi Germany. The family did not disclose the cause of his death.

Despite his age, Kissinger remained active, even traveling to China in July to meet with President Xi Jinping. His legacy as a prominent figure in US foreign policy and international relations will be remembered and honored in the memorial service to be held in New York.
