During the public launch and presentation of Chief Edwin Clark's autobiography, "Brutally Frank," in Lagos, a gathering of political, economic, and academic leaders expressed a consensus that Nigeria's progress may continue to elude the nation unless the report of the 2014 National Conference is fully implemented. Notable speakers at the event included Chief Edwin Clark, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, Prof. Anya O. Anya, Prof. Pat Utomi, Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi, and Chief Mrs. Kofo Bucknor-Akerele, among others. They highlighted that the document contains solutions to the political and socio-economic challenges facing the country and stressed the need for the country to be restructured, with true federalism entrenched to allow all federating units to progress at their own pace.

Chief Edwin Clark, speaking from Abuja via Zoom, emphasized the urgency of restructuring for Nigeria to achieve its potential. He advocated for a Nigeria where every citizen can aspire to any position, emphasizing that restructuring is vital for the country's survival. Pa Adebanjo commended former President Goodluck Jonathan for convening the 2014 National Conference, stating that history will be kind to him for the decisions and report produced. He urged Nigerians not to disregard the report and recommendations, emphasizing the need to align the current constitution with the 2014 conference.

Prof. Anya O. Anya praised the role of individuals like Chief Edwin Clark in ensuring that over 70 percent of the delegates concurred with the decisions made during the conference. Prof. Utomi stressed that competitive federalism is essential for Nigeria's development, as it would encourage all units to strive for the greatness of their people. Prof. Bolaji Akinyemi lauded Chief Clark's commitment to the conference, highlighting his punctuality and dedication to the proceedings.

Senator Anthony Adefuye, the Chairman of the occasion, described Chief Edwin Clark as a nationalist and a unifying figure for the Southern part of the country. He lamented that the decisions of the 2014 National Conference were not sent to the National Assembly before the end of President Jonathan's tenure, but noted that some of the National Assembly's current activities have roots in the conference. Chief Mrs. Kofo Bucknor-Akerele acknowledged Chief Clark's contributions to the enthronement of democracy through the activities of the National Democratic Coalition (NADECO).

The event also featured a panel review of the book by Profs. Odion Akhaine, Abigail Ogwezzy-Ndisika, and Edward Agbai. Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, sent a message expressing his happiness at Chief Clark's authorship and the merited honor bestowed upon him.
