The air component of Operation Whirl Punch in Kaduna State conducted a successful operation that resulted in the elimination of several terrorists in the Igabi Local Government Area. This operation was carried out based on intelligence indicating the presence of a terrorist leader, Boderi, and his associates at the location. Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, stated that the air strikes were effective, leading to a subsequent operation targeting Boderi's brother.

According to Gabkwet, the two brothers, Boderi and Nasiru, were responsible for numerous attacks on communities in Kaduna State and its surroundings. The Nigerian Air Force, under Operation Whirl Punch, has been consistently conducting air strikes against terrorists in the North-West and North Central regions of the country. The recent strikes at Tsauni Doka in the Igabi Local Government Area resulted in the neutralization of several terrorist elements, including Boderi and his associates.

Furthermore, additional successful strikes were carried out at a location near Boderi's hideout, believed to be the refuge of his brother, Nasiru. These strikes resulted in the neutralization of several terrorists and the destruction of their motorcycles. Boderi, Nasiru, and their accomplices have been implicated in various attacks and abductions along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway, Kaduna-Birnin Gwari Road, as well as in several communities in Niger and Kaduna states.
