NAIRA MARLEY AND SAM LARRY RELEASED FROM DETENTION, CORONER'S INQUEST INITIATED INTO MOHBAD ’S DEATH

Music artiste Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Sam Larry, have been released from detention by the Lagos State Police Command.

Music artiste Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and Lagos socialite Sam Larry, have been released from detention by the Lagos State Police Command. This development was confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the Public Relations Officer for the state’s police, in a statement on Friday. According to Hundeyin, both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were released after meeting their bail conditions, marking the end of their time in detention.

The duo's release came after they met the bail conditions set by the magistrate on Monday, November 6. The bail was granted in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties. As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are required to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

It's worth noting that Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and two others were arraigned on October 6 and remanded over their alleged involvement in circumstances surrounding the death of Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad. Mohbad, a musician, passed away at the age of 27 under unclear circumstances on Thursday, September 12. In response to this tragic event, the Lagos State Government has initiated a coroner’s inquest into his death.
