Kafayat Adeleke, the mother of a deformed street hawker named Sultan Adeleke, also known as Eniola, has provided an explanation for why her child disguises as a lady. In an interview with social media enthusiast Mr LilGaga, Kafayat shared her perspective on the matter. She revealed that Eniola's deformity is a result of complications during childbirth, which has surprised many people who have questioned his physical condition.

According to Kafayat, Eniola has been disguising himself as a girl in Osogbo since 2018. Despite being stopped on numerous occasions, he would run away from home and continue with the act. Kafayat clarified that Eniola was not born a female but was born with a deformity, which is one of the reasons she loves him. Eniola prefers to be called Eniola instead of Sultan, and he would avoid taking her calls if she used his birth name.

In 2020, Eniola went to Lagos to seek help from people while still presenting himself as a girl. Kafayat emphasized that Eniola is her favorite among her children and that she appreciates the love and sympathy they receive due to his physical condition. She mentioned that Eniola often engaged in makeup businesses in Osogbo and that she would accompany him to ensure his safe return home since he frequently absconded.

However, there came a point when Eniola became angry and asked Kafayat to stop accompanying him. He expressed his disinterest in staying with her and subsequently ran away to Lagos. Kafayat claimed that she had never asked Eniola for money, except in recent times when his story gained attention and people supported him with financial assistance and other gifts.

Kafayat shared pictures of Eniola's deformity since birth and his birth certificate, which confirmed his date of birth as September 23, 2005. Meanwhile, Eniola himself revealed on Instagram Live that he is a boy and started dressing as a girl to appeal to the public for help since no one was willing to assist him.

Recently, Eniola received help from skit maker and comedian Chukwuebuka Emmanuel, popularly known as Brain Jotter, in Lagos. Brain Jotter encountered Eniola while driving along the expressway. Eniola claimed to be a makeup artist in addition to selling bottled water on Lagos highways. Impressed by Eniola's determination to succeed despite his circumstances, Brain Jotter gifted him N400,000 and called on Nigerians to support his makeup business.

The video of the encounter went viral, with singer Davido tagging the handle of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, to seek assistance for the "girl" since she is from Osun. This sparked controversy as some netizens claimed that the self-proclaimed "female hawker" is actually a boy who has been disguising himself to gain public sympathy and support.
