An unidentified adult jumped into the lagoon at the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge area in Lagos State on Tuesday afternoon. Emergency responders are currently at the scene, making efforts to recover the victim from the water. The police have cordoned off the area to manage the situation.

SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident and stated that both marine police and Lagos State emergency officials are present, working to retrieve the victim's body, whether dead or alive.

Amodu Shakiru, speaking on behalf of Adeseye Margaret, the Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, also confirmed the incident. The Fire and Rescue Services received a distress call at approximately 2:43 pm and promptly responded, but there is no further update on the situation at this time.
