Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed his condolences to his Anambra counterpart, Professor Charles Soludo, on the passing of his father, Pa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo. Pa Soludo, aged 92, passed away in the early hours of Monday, November 6, 2023. He is survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, 22 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Governor Oborevwori, in a condolence message to Governor Soludo, the government, and people of Anambra State, described Pa Soludo's death as a significant loss not only to Anambra State and the South East region but to the entire nation. He acknowledged Pa Soludo's invaluable contributions to humanity.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba on Wednesday, Governor Oborevwori joined the Soludo family and the people of Anambra in mourning the loss of the family's patriarch. He commended Pa Soludo for leading a life of great positive impact and urged the family to find solace in the legacies left behind by their late father.

Governor Oborevwori paid tribute to Pa Soludo for being a good father and highlighted the achievements of his children, including the emergence of Professor Charles Soludo as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and later as the elected Governor of Anambra State. He expressed sadness at the news of Pa Soludo's demise but found comfort in the fact that he lived to witness the remarkable successes of his children.

The Governor extended his sympathies to Governor Soludo, his entire family, the government, and people of Anambra State. He prayed for God's comfort and strength for them during this period of grief, while also praying for the peaceful repose of Pa Soludo's soul.
