Managing Director of Fouani Company and Three Lebanese Nationals Kidnapped in Lagos, $1.5m Ransom Demanded

A brazen kidnapping incident has occurred in Lagos, Nigeria, targeting a prominent business executive and three Lebanese nationals, sparking concerns about the safety of citizens and businesses in the country.

Armed men have kidnapped the Managing Director of Fouani Company, which represents LG and Hisense, along with three Lebanese nationals while they were traveling by boat in Lagos. The incident occurred around Falomo Bridge while they were en route from Apapa to Victoria Island. A source familiar with the situation revealed that the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of $1.5 million.

 

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the police are investigating. However, he declined to provide further details, including the names of the abducted individuals and the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping.

 

The Fouani Company is a prominent distributor of electronic products in Nigeria, and the Managing Director's abduction has sparked concerns about the safety of business executives in the country. The incident is the latest in a series of high-profile kidnappings in Nigeria, highlighting the need for improved security measures to protect citizens and businesses.
