BENJAMIN PAVARD SIDELINED FOR A MONTH WITH KNEE INJURY, INTER MILAN CONFIRMS

Inter Milan has announced that Benjamin Pavard, the France defender, will be out of action for at least a month due to a knee injury.

Inter Milan has announced that Benjamin Pavard, the France defender, will be sidelined for at least a month due to a knee injury he sustained over the weekend. Pavard dislocated a ligament in his left knee during Inter's 2-1 victory against Atalanta on Saturday. As a result, he will have to wear a knee brace for three to four weeks before starting rehabilitation work. Although Inter did not specify the exact duration of his absence, Italian media reports suggest that he may not return to action before the end of the year.

Pavard's injury occurred during the match against Atalanta, which helped Inter maintain their two-point lead at the top of Serie A. Unfortunately, the 27-year-old will miss Inter's upcoming Champions League fixture against Salzburg, as well as France's final two Euro 2024 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Greece. Despite his absence, France currently leads Group B by six points ahead of Greece and the Netherlands, and they have already secured a place in next summer's tournament in Germany.

Pavard, who was part of the French squad that won the World Cup in 2018, joined Inter Milan from Bayern Munich at the end of August. His absence will be a setback for both Inter and the French national team as they navigate through important fixtures in their respective competitions.
