The All Progressives Congress (APC) Professionals Council has issued a call to voters, urging them to support the candidates of the party in the upcoming governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Professionals Council has called on voters to support the candidates of the party in the upcoming governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states. In a statement issued by the National Director General, Seyi Bamigbade, the council emphasized that voting for Usman Ododo, Timipre Sylva, and Governor Hope Uzodinma would lead to the realization of democratic dividends.

Bamigbade highlighted that voting for these candidates would enable the people to benefit from the people-oriented policies of President Bola Tinubu, who puts the interests of the people at the forefront. He praised Usman Ododo for his professional achievements, rising to the position of Auditor General of the local government, and expressed confidence that if elected, Ododo would continue the developmental strides of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi State.

Regarding Timipre Sylva in Bayelsa, Bamigbade described him as an astute leader who has held various positions of authority and played significant roles in the development of the APC in the state and across the country. Sylva's legacies as a former governor and his contributions as the Minister of State for Petroleum under the administration of ex-President Muhammadu Buhari were also acknowledged.

In the case of Imo State, Governor Hope Uzodinma was praised for demonstrating that the APC is a party to be trusted in the Southeast region and beyond. The council highlighted Uzodinma's efforts in infrastructure renewal and the empowerment of youths and women as clear indications of hope for Imo State.

The council urged voters to support these candidates in the elections, emphasizing that doing so would contribute to the greater prosperity of the respective states. These three states are among those where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be conducting off-season elections, with the fresh polls scheduled to take place on November 11th to elect new governors.
