"APC Chairman Suggests Atiku and Obi Consider Contesting Again in 2031"

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen Abdullahi Ganduje, has asked the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, to contemplate running for presidency in 2031.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Sen Abdullahi Ganduje, has suggested that the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, should consider contesting again in 2031. Ganduje made this statement following the Supreme Court's affirmation of President Bola Tinubu's victory in the February 25 presidential election.

Justice John Okoro, the chairman of the seven-man panel, delivered the judgment in Abuja. In response to the ruling, Ganduje issued a statement through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Edwin Olofu, urging Atiku and Obi to work with President Tinubu. He also congratulated Tinubu on his victory and expressed his belief that the judgment would contribute to Nigeria's sustainable growth and development.

Ganduje emphasized that Nigeria belongs to all citizens and called on everyone to come together and contribute their resources to move the country forward. He further stated that democracy allows for future opportunities, suggesting that Atiku and Obi could pursue their presidential aspirations after Tinubu's second term in office, which would be in 2031.

This statement by the APC chairman highlights the party's perspective on the future of Nigerian politics and the potential for Atiku and Obi to continue their political journeys in the years to come.
