The Ondo State Police Command has initiated the trial of a man named Bode for the killing of Tunde Akinmoyewa with a dane gun at Laoso Village in Ondo West Local Government Area. The incident occurred last Tuesday when the 27-year-old Bode, described as an ex-convict, shot Tunde dead while testing a new locally-made gun.

However, there are conflicting reports about the motive behind the shooting. According to a source, the deceased was testing a bulletproof charm in the village and asked his friend, Bode, to shoot him to verify the charm's efficacy. Tragically, after Bode shot Tunde, he fell down and died on the spot.

Following the incident, the deceased was promptly taken to the nearest hospital in the village, where he was confirmed dead. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, has stated that the command is actively investigating the matter, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect, Bode.
