Chadian Prime Minister Succes Masra announced on Wednesday that he has submitted his resignation. This decision comes just over two weeks following his defeat to junta chief Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno in the presidential elections.

In a message posted on his Facebook page, Masra stated, "I've just submitted my resignation and that of the transition government, which became irrelevant with the end of the presidential election." This message was authenticated by his team and confirmed to AFP.
