American rapper Melissa Viviane Jefferson, widely known as Lizzo, has responded to allegations of sexual harassment made by several of her tour dancers, dismissing their claims as "sensationalized stories." The lawsuit, filed by three of her tour dancers, accused Lizzo of creating a hostile work environment through sexual, racial, and religious harassment between 2021 and 2023, according to the Guardian UK.

In her response, Lizzo stated that her work ethic, morals, and respectfulness were called into question, and her character was criticized. She emphasized that it was never her intention to make anyone feel uncomfortable or undervalued as part of the team. While she acknowledges the allegations, Lizzo expressed her belief that the claims are unbelievable and outrageous.

The 35-year-old artist asserted that she does not want to be seen as a victim but wants to address the media's portrayal of her as a villain in recent days. The lawsuit filed against her included various claims, such as Lizzo allegedly pressuring a dancer to touch a nude performer at a club and conducting a grueling 12-hour audition for several dancers.

Additionally, the lawsuit accuses Lizzo's dance captain, Shirlene Quigley, of pushing her Christian beliefs onto performers and demeaning those who engaged in premarital sex. The suit also mentions that Quigley simulated oral sex, discussed a performer's virginity, and shared explicit details about her own sex life with her husband, according to the Guardian UK.
