Ajax Football Club has announced the departure of manager Maurice Steijn after just four months in charge due to their poor start to the Eredivisie season. Jan van Halst, the Chief Executive of Ajax, acknowledged the efforts made by Steijn during their time working together but expressed disappointment in the team's lack of sporting success and development. Van Halst stated that after thorough discussions, both parties concluded that it would be best to go their separate ways. He also mentioned that Hedwiges Maduro would take charge for the foreseeable future.

The decision to part ways with Steijn reflects Ajax's commitment to achieving better results and improving their performance on the field. The club will now focus on finding a suitable replacement who can lead the team to success in the remainder of the season.
