Multichoice Nigeria recently unveiled the nominations for the 10th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), set to occur on May 11, 2024, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos State. The AMVCA celebrates excellence in television and film annually, acknowledging outstanding achievements across various categories.

Among the nominees for Best Digital Content are "National Treasure" by Adebola Adeyela (Lizzy Jay), "Medical Negligence and Copyright Infringement" by Isaac Ayomide Olayiwola (Layi Wasabi), "Hello Neighbour" by Elozonam Ogbolu, Lina Idoko, and Jemima Osunde, and "The Boyfriend" by Maryam Apaokagi-Greene.

In the category of Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa), notable nominees include "Mami Wata" by CJ Fiery Obasi, "Jagun Jagun" by Femi Adebayo, "Ijogbon" by Kunle Afolayan, "Orisa" by Odunlade Adekola, and "Nana Akoto" by Kwabena Gyansah.

The AMVCA also recognizes talent from East and South Africa, with nominations for Best Indigenous Language films and other categories.

Furthermore, the event acknowledges the best works from the Multichoice Talent Factory, scripted and unscripted M-Net originals, short films, and various technical categories such as cinematography, editing, sound design, art direction, costume design, makeup, and writing for both TV series and movies.

The list of nominees includes talented actors and actresses competing for awards in supporting and lead roles, as well as directors and movies vying for recognition in their respective categories.

In addition to honoring the best in African cinema, the AMVCA serves as a platform for celebrating the diverse talent and creativity within the industry.
