BRITISH WOMAN SENTENCED TO DEATH IN INDIA for HUSBAND'S MURDER

shocking case that has garnered international attention, Ramandeep Kaur Mann, a British woman, has been found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging in India for the murder of her husband, Sukhjeet Singh.

Ramandeep Kaur Mann, a British woman, has been found guilty and sentenced to death by hanging in India for the murder of her husband, Sukhjeet Singh. The court heard that Kaur Mann poisoned her family and then slit her husband's throat on September 2, 2016, with the intention of inheriting £2 million from his life insurance. Her accomplice, Gurpreet Singh, was sentenced to life in prison.

The eyewitness testimony of Sukhjeet's nine-year-old son played a crucial role in securing the conviction against Kaur Mann, who is a British national. According to reports, Kaur Mann executed her plan to kill her husband after returning from a month-long family holiday in Sukhjeet's hometown of Shahjahanpur. She poisoned a meal that was consumed by several family members, but her eldest son did not eat it.

On the morning of September 2, 2016, Sukhjeet's body was discovered on the first floor of the house, where he was sleeping with his family. His mother, Vansh Kaur, was sleeping on the ground floor. The police investigation revealed that Kaur Mann and Gurpreet were in a relationship, leading to murder charges being brought against them.

The court found both Kaur Mann and Gurpreet guilty of murder and the offence of criminal acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention. The judge described the case as the "rarest of rare" and emphasized the devastating impact of the crime on the family, stating that not only was Sukhjeet murdered, but the remaining years of an elderly widow were also taken away, and the childhood and youth of two minor children were destroyed.

Sukhjeet's mother expressed her satisfaction with the verdict, stating that she feels relieved and that her prayers were answered. She had been demanding capital punishment for Kaur Mann, hoping to prevent any other mother from experiencing the loss of a child in such a manner.
