THE STRIKE WILL HOLD SAYS NLC

The Nigeria Labour Congress said the meeting with Federal Government did not about any changes to the planned peaceful protest. They are resolute in championing the interests and desires of Nigerians.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the National Labour Congress (NLC) stated that despite holding a meeting with the Federal Government, their planned mass action would proceed as originally scheduled.

NLC President Joe Ajaero conveyed the outcome of the meeting, stating, "We want to inform all Nigerians that we have just concluded a meeting with the Federal Government, where we sought to have our demands as the representatives of Nigerian workers and people heard."

He further emphasized that the meeting did not bring about any changes to their intended course of action for the following day. The NLC remains steadfast in its commitment to champion the interests and desires of Nigerian workers and citizens.

Addressing concerns of potential disruptions, the NLC urged Nigerians to dismiss the efforts of "fifth columnists" who are allegedly working against the wishes of the people. Instead, they encouraged everyone to come together in their respective states and across the nation to collectively demonstrate their determination and resolve during the planned mass action.
