Fire Outbreak Damages Former Governor Shekarau's Residence in Kano

A fire outbreak has caused significant damage to a section of the Kano residence belonging to former Kano State governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau. Suspected to have started from the kitchen of the Mundubawa house, the fire occurred on Sunday night.

A fire outbreak has devastated a portion of the Kano residence belonging to former Kano State governor, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau. The fire, suspected to have originated from the kitchen of the Mundubawa house, which is owned by the former minister of Education, occurred on Sunday night. It inflicted damage on the living rooms belonging to Shekarau’s third wife, Halima.

 

The exact cause of the fire could not be immediately determined. Dr. Sule Ya’u Sule, the Media Adviser to Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, confirmed the incident. He stated that the fire originated from the inner kitchen of the house, situated on the ground floor of the multi-million naira mansion. Fortunately, the damage was contained to one of Shekarau’s living rooms, and the State Fire Service swiftly extinguished the fire.

 

Saminu Yusif, the spokesperson of the State Fire Service, also confirmed the incident. He assured that the outbreak had been brought under control, mitigating further damage.
