Tragedy struck in Maiduguri as the daughter of Hon. Bukar Abacha, a Member of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Ngala local government area, was discovered strangled to death near Gidan Dembe.

The daughter of Hon. Bukar Abacha, a Member of the Borno State House of Assembly representing Ngala local government area, was found strangled to death by unknown individuals near Gidan Dembe in Maiduguri. This incident occurred less than 24 hours after Governor Babagana Zulum ordered the demolition of brothels, shanties, and makeshift beer joints in the Railway Terminus general area, citing these activities as breeding grounds for criminals and related killings in the city.

According to sources, the incident took place around 6:30 pm on Tuesday when the victim's husband had left the house to go to a nearby mosque for prayers. When he returned, he discovered his wife's lifeless body in their home, with her hands and legs tied behind her back. Their two-year-old child was found crying beside her. The Gwange Police Division evacuated the body to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for autopsy and further investigation.

The incident caused tension and chaos in the area, attracting a large crowd of residents who gathered at the scene. A family source shared the news of the incident on Facebook, stating that the deceased would be buried on Wednesday morning in Maiduguri. The source identified the victim as Mrs. Amma Buwa and mentioned that she was the daughter of the member representing Ngala at the state House of Assembly. The source expressed condolences and announced that the burial would take place at the 777 Housing Estate in Maiduguri at 10 am.

"Inna lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji'un. Mrs. Amma Buwa was killed by some hoodlums earlier today after Isha prayer, where some unknown men invaded her house after her husband left for the mosque for Isha prayer. The Janazah (burial) will take place at 777 Housing Estate at 10 am in Maiduguri. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace," the family source wrote.
