Two students of Kwara State Polytechnic, Adama Joseph and Oreoluwa Davies, have been arrested and paraded by the Police at Force headquarters for the murder of a socialite and club owner in Kwara State, Adeniyi Ojo. The suspects allegedly deceived the victim by suggesting a threesome sex encounter, but instead tied him to the bed and suffocated him to death with a pillowcase placed over his face.

According to ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, the police apprehended the two suspects on October 6, 2023, in Mowe Ibafo, Ogun State, following meticulous investigative work. The suspects, both students of Kwara State Polytechnic, confessed to the crime during the police parade in Abuja. They attributed their actions to the late socialite's covetousness, stinginess, and lack of care.

Adama, one of the suspects, revealed that the victim had been demanding a sexual relationship with her, which she refused due to her previous employment as his staff. She further explained that after she quit the job, Ojo refused to meet her financial needs whenever she requested assistance. Oreoluwa, the other suspect, corroborated Adama's account and stated that they had completed their ND program at Kwara Polytechnic before the incident occurred.

The plan initially was to steal from the victim, so they proposed engaging in BDSM (bondage, domination, submission, and masochism) to him, which he agreed to. However, when they couldn't find any money in his pockets, Oreoluwa took his phone and attempted to unlock it using facial recognition. The victim started shouting, prompting a struggle during which they drugged him with Refnol (Rohypnol) and placed a pillow over his face to silence him. Believing he was pretending, they left when he became silent.

Adama clarified that she touched the victim with a knife used for cutting the cake but did not intend to harm him. They only wanted to take his money. They were unaware that he had died until the police arrested them in Ogun State. The police explained that BDSM refers to a range of sexual preferences involving physical and psychological control and pain. A threesome, on the other hand, refers to a form of group sex involving three individuals.

The arrest and confession of the suspects shed light on the tragic circumstances surrounding the murder of the socialite and club owner, leaving the community shocked and saddened by the incident.
